Anyways, here I am. Hi.
First off, let's talk about TV shows. I am very happy that Scrubs is moving to Thursday nights after Friends. Sadly, it means I won't be watching any more episodes of the Tick. The first episode was BIZARRE. They kept some of the characters and lines from the comic books, but other characters were warped. Der Fliedermaus (not Die) became BatManuel, some sort of Spanish romancer instead of the cringing chauvinist. American Maid became Captain Liberty, but she was all over BatManuel. Then she broke his arm after he tried to go to third base.
Anyways... Scrubs is the best show on TV! Closely followed by Friends, Will & Grace, and ER, for different reasons. Poor Gunther. He is being so abused on Friends.
So, my sister's surgery went well, except that it was only exploratory. The good news is that she doesn't have a tumor. It's only a large fibroid. The bad news is that she will need more surgery.
I have been talking to Sarah with some regularity on the phone. Her 16 hour bus trip became a 33 hour one, thanks to someone misdirecting her at a transfer in the suburbs of Quebec. She was forced to stay there from 8:30 am until 1:30 am. Ugh. Still, she made it there eventually, and seems in good spirits. It helps that her best friend is there.
At work, I got into a music discussion with one of the drivers (Doug). He has 300 CDs, and I have 900 (I am not certain, but I have an awful lot). Between the two of us, we have five CDs that match! Paul Simon, CSN, the Grateful Dead, Fleetwood Mac, and Van Morrison. Hehehehe... We both do NOT like most of the groups that the other does.
Also, I made a list of movies that another driver (Dave) should watch. I asked some customers for their opinions, and one was a transvestite. After he left, Doug gave me a hard time, and called Ian my girlfriend. Sheesh. He needs to grow up. Ian had some good titles to add to the list.
I have been playing a lot of online Blood Bowl, and pondering my future, or a possible future. Sarah told me that she will be staying in Canada for the next tour, since she feels safe there. So what does that mean for us? I am still looking forward to seeing her in person, but reality is creeping in. Will I be able to move to Canada? Will she want me to? We'll see. I am feeling pretty good right now, both about myself and "us". There is hope.
