I wore a suit for the occasion, when my preferred attire is a t-shirt and some shorts. The ceremony is going to be outdoors, and I noticed a yellowjacket nest about six feet from where the groomsmen will be standing. Hopefully something will be done about that before the wedding. The rehearsal went fine. Julia's biological father picked a really odd reading from the Prophet (?). It was a poem about how a couple should be together, but not one. I disliked it. Sharing bread, but not the same loaf. Like two columns supporting together, but not touching. Bleh. I disagree. Love should not be myopic, but it should be a blending together, more than just sharing.
The dinner went very smoothly. There was an open food bar, as well as filet mignon or salmon. I ate a LOT. It was amusing to watch the bridesmaids and the bride try to set up a timetable for tomorrow.
After dinner, we went back to the hotel and hung out in the bar. Andrew bought myself and my Dad a shot of Oban (?), a 14 year old single malt. It was strong, especially since I usually don't drink. I chatted with various people until about 12:30 and then went home.
Oh! I almost forgot. Sean and Julia handed out inscripted letter openers to the wedding party. Mine is left handed! It even has a magnifying glass in the handle. Pretty nifty.
Tomorrow should be interesting.
