Last Saturday night, my parents and I went to a restaurant named Meridith's for my belated birthday. http://www.meridiths.com/ I had the Black Sesame Chicken Tenders with Creamy Pepper Dip for my appetizer, and the Cajun Linguine…Blackened Chicken, Andouille Sausage and Red Peppers for dinner. Both were delicious, but the Cajun spices overpowered the slice of gourmet pizza my mom let me try. For dessert, I had Molten Chocolate, which consisted of a chocolate cake with very hot mousse inside, and a raspberry sauce on the top and on the plate. I could eat one of those every day! Then I tried the Tiramisu, which was very good, but more of a cake than what I had guessed.
Today, for lunch, I went to San Nicola with my mom. We shared the cheese and peppers plate for an appetizer, and I had the Involtini Di Vitello (veal medallions rolled with prosciutto and provolone, served in a demiglace with diced cremini mushrooms) for my entree. It was good, but not great. Italian food seems to be more about contrasts than any other culture. For dessert, I had Tiramisu again, and this tasted like the real thing. The cake was very moist, but not soggy. It was yummy.
Still playing WoW. And still raiding in EQ. I am also rereading Carrion Comfort, by Dan Simmons. He is one of my top eleven authors.
