(no subject)

It's always a surprise when I browse the books outside of the Book Xchange. Three recent purchases (for a total of seventy five cents) were:
The Necronomicon
an 1898 limited edition of a Balzac story
How To Win at Video Games - from 1982! - I owned this as a child!!!

I am still playing Magic Online, and a little Blood Bowl. The league seems to have died, thanks to several immature players. Sigh.

In other book news, I brought seven titles to our last Elric game. I figured the other guys might appreciate some stories that I liked or loved. They were:
Ender's Game - Orson Scott Card
Not For Glory - Joel Rosenberg
Inferno - Larry Niven and Jerry Pournelle
Agyar - Steven Brust
The Forever War - Joe Haldeman
Sophie's Choice - William Styron
The Prince of Tides - Pat Conroy

Guess which two weren't taken? Reading a book that makes you feel doesn't make you less manly. I was a bit disappointed, but I tried.

I also watched two movies. Shallow Hal was a lot better than I thought it would be, and Dungeons and Dragons was just as awful as I suspected it would be. Heh.
