I downloaded the first Harry Potter movie, and this time it was the real thing. However, Windows Media Player refused to run it. Well, when the program file is called Harry Potter [DVD - DivX] don't you think I should try the DivX player instead? And now it works fine. Hehe.
On a more annoying note, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets turned out to be Ghost Dog - the Way of the Samurai. What the hell is wrong with these people? Is Harry Potter the online whipping boy for all pranksters? Sheesh. I guess I will go to the theater. Grumble, grumble.
It's nice to know that all of my downloading is having a positive benefit for someone else as well. One of the delivery guys at Pizza Hut is a musician working on his first serious album. He gave me an enormous list of songs he would like to listen to for educational purposes (he teaches my manager's son) and inspiration. Here is the first disc of many.
It's All Too Much - The Beatles
Woody Guthrie, Leadbelly, Pete Seeger - Goodnight Irene
Van Morrison - Brown Eyed Girl
Tom Petty - Girl on LSD
The Eagles - Hotel California
String Cheese Incident - I know you Rider (3-7-00 Boise)
Santo & Johnny - Sleepwalk
Rufus And Chaka Kahn - Tell Me Somethin Good
Richie Havens - Here Comes The Sun
Pure Prairie League - Amy
Procol Harum - Whiter Shade Of Pale
Prince - Purple Rain - 06 - When Doves Cry
Poverty Train - Laura Nyro
Pink Floyd - Another Brick in the Wall Part 2
Patsy Cline - Stand By Your Man
Nirvana - All Apologies
New Riders Of The Purple Sage - Duncan and Brady
Leadbelly - Duncan and Brady
Kinks - Waterloo Sunset
Jimi Hendrix - Purple Haze
I really wanted to slip in nine inch nails or something amusing. Maybe later.
Which songs should I be downloading? Which songs give you goosebumps? Anyone?
