Jane Siberry

Tonight, Echoes repeated the Jane Siberry program. Sigh. What a voice. Right now I am listening to When I Was A Boy yet again. I think I will be buying more of her CDs.

Also, I have a new favorite CD, although it's 2 discs. My roomie Sean calls it blasphemy that Sarah's Fumbling Towards Ecstacy is moving to second place. Sorry, Sarah. And the new number one is...

nin's the fragile.

It's funny. I did not like it when it first came out. I have had the same reaction with several of the CDs I now love, such as the Cure's Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me. When I saw the video for Just Like Heaven back in '87, I said "Who are these fags?" Heh. I can't believe that was 15 years ago! When I first heard Concrete Blonde's Bloodletting, I was recording a friend's copy. I stopped in the middle of the first song, and it took years before I fell in love with it. When I first bought Live's Mental Jewelry on my brother's advice, I was NOT happy. It took several listens before I appreciated it.

I am glad that I am still slightly malleable.
