I am fighting a really nasty one, and have been since Monday. Vitamins, OJ, and lots of (broken) sleep are helping, but the judges can't call a win for either side yet.
I played five games of Blood Bowl in a row on Monday into Tuesday.
Well, an opponent calls for a game right now. I will continue updating in a few hours.
Cough cough. Sneeze!
and I got my ass kicked in that game of BB. Still, it was fun.
Anyways... Our store had an inspection on Wednesday by a corporate employee. Joe Zito and I had met once before, when he inspected it last February. I think I am the only person at our store that gets along with him, and doesn't get apprehensive. We got an 84 out of 100, although we should have done better. The driver was out picking his daughter up from school, and we lost 4 points for the late delivery because of that. Things like that. No biggy though. Also, Greg was still on vacation on Wednesday. Not only did we lose 2 points for being understaffed, but that meant I worked by myself all night, with three drivers going in and out. I was a bit stressed, and I had to do all of the prep work as well. Ugh. When we closed at 11, I gave myself a half hour of paid reading time as a present.
Wednesday night, Sean and I played Diablo 2 for a few hours, and then we watched last Sunday's Simpsons and Malcolm in the Middle. Then I went to bed, and had THREE (nonsexual) dreams about Lela. Very depressing, for the most part. It made me want to email her, but I know that would only be for my own sake, and not for hers. See? I might be resisting, but I am maturing in spite of myself.
I read the Partner, by John Grisham, and I am almost done the Runaway Jury. My tastes in almost everything are very eclectic, and I like variety.
Thursday was OK at work. It was slow, and Angel was working. Yay! I called my parents for a possible ride to the Acme on Friday at lunch or on Saturday, as the Edy's pints and the Godiva pints were buy 1 get 1 free. After work, Sean and I played some more Diablo 2, and then I went to bed. Of course, my Dad called while I was asleep and said he was coming over. He did, and rang the doorbell, but I was dead to the world. I woke up at 2, and played the messages.
8:35 I will take you over around 12:30
12:30 I will wait outside for 15 minutes
12:45 I am leaving
I felt bad, but since they hadn't called me last night, I assumed that they were out for the week. Anyways, he came over around 3:30 and I was able to buy them on the last day of the sale. I saved $102.20 on my 62 pints, or I blew $102.20 on 62 pints - take your pick. Hehehe...
Hi, my name is Steve and I am an ice creamoholic.
Sarah is not doing very well. Her whole life seems to be in a state of flux, and her body is betraying her. She called last night, and said that I was acting as though our relationship is over. I said that she was correct, with the way things stand. Some things are non-negotiable, and she agreed. There is still a slim possibility.
I finally got around to watching it. It was excellent. The synergy of the director, the cast, and the composer was clear to see.
And now I am off to bed a bit early. Sleep is very good for fighting colds.
