It's odd to be single again...

but with the option of getting back together again in the distant future.

It is nice that we can still talk to each other, at least. Sarah called me in the middle of the dinner rush, forgetting the three hour time difference. It was wonderful to hear her voice, even for a short while. Then she called me after 11, and we talked for a bit about faith, salt and it's flavor (or lack of same), and the fact that our topics of conversation are now limited. She brought up something funny that her friend said regarding orgasms, and I said that the topic hurt a little. We might never go back to having sex three times a day.

Still, at least there is a chance. And even though we are not together at the moment, we still care for each other. That will have to suffice.

back from the Magic prerelease

Ugh. Sean, Charlie, and I went to the tournament with no idea what the new set would be like. It's always fun to try out new cards and combinations. I had a few good games, but my deck did not like me, and I almost always got too much mana or too little. Charlie and I dropped out after records of 1-2, and joined another sealed deck tourney. I was forced to wait for 15 minutes while my opponent was busy elsewhere, and then had the two worst games of the day. The first game denied me green mana, and the second only allowed me two mana for the quick beatdown. Charlie won his first round, but since Sean was done his games, we both dropped and just waited for Sean to get his free booster packs. Then we went to Peace a Pizza, where we all ate slices of barbecued chicken pizza. Sean and I got milkshakes, and I bought a LOT of fresh chocolate chip cookies.

The day could have been better, but spending time with the two of them is always fun.

I am Daria

Daria is the poster child for "teen misfit," and holds in high contempt what she sees as the shallowness and superficiality of the world around her. She is also cynical -- though she'd say she's "realistic" -- and mistrustful of authority, and doesn't hesitate to make her opinions known when she sees fit. She has a talent for writing, a sharp intellect, an even sharper tongue (her sarcasm could cut tempered steel), and a wit so dry it makes the Sahara look like a rain forest.

Invader Zim

I finally got around to downloading the first episode of Invader Zim tonight. It was similar to the Johnny, the Homicidal Maniac comics, but more whimsical.

It's a shame that the show was cancelled. Sorry, Jhonen.

There are many sites that you can get the episodes from. The one I used was:
