a day that was not too shabby

Well, on my way in to work this morning, a hawk flew up close to me and alighted on the top of a telephone pole nearby. It was only about fifteen feet away from me, and it was gorgeous. I just wanted to pet it.

I bought a Chocolate Brownie frappaccino at Starbuck's, and it was yummy for the most part. Very expensive, though. The chocolate syrup they put on top of the whipped cream was cheap, and coated my tongue like plastic. Ugh.

Work wasn't too bad. Dave's brakes wore out around 6:15pm, so one of the other drivers covered for him and he left early. He said he would call me tomorrow morning and tell me when he would be in.

I spent a lot of time reading semi-recent issues of the New Yorker that were brought over from the book exchange. The music issue had a great PJ Harvey interview, and also one with Radiohead.

Oh, I talked online with Sarah yesterday for hours. It was great. Frustrating, but great. I can't wait to actually hug her.
