sing me to sleep...

Whew. Just spent a few days with my family. My mother, my father, my brother Sean, his wife Julia, and their son Kyle all went down to a house on Bethany beach with me for a couple of days. Strangely enough, none of us actually went to the beach. On the first day, I slept off and on for fifteen hours, and the second day only three hours.

I read two books by David Sedaris, one book by Chuck Palahniuk, and two by Susan Cooper. David Sedaris is the gay, urban version of Garrison Keillor. He is very funny, and also very sad. Chuck Palahniuk is the author of Fight Club, but this collection was all non-fiction. Parts were very strange, but it was worth reading. And Susan Cooper is that children's author that J.K. Rowling is ripping off. I watched Meet the Fockers (not bad, parts were funny) The Life Aquatic (again) and City of Ghosts (ok) - the DVD player was dying, so we did the best we could.

We came back to Paoli on Saturday afternoon. I took a two hour nap, and then we all headed to Kyle's apartment in Philadelphia to celebrate his engagement to Veronica. I had one glass of champagne for the toast, and one Guinness after the water ran out. Other people were drinking an awful lot, and one person passed out. I think it went well, though. I got to see Big Fatty and Pluck again, and took as many pictures of the cats as I did Kyle and Veronica.

After that, I went home around 1am and played WoW with Sean. We ran the hunters again, and the rogue and paladin harrassed us for hours again. It was fun. Then I slept for over twelve hours. I just got up, and I am undecided. Should I eat? Should I shower and go out? Should I look at Kate's pictures from the Netherlands? Should I play WoW? Or should I just go back to bed?
